Atonement

Atonement – Reconciliation between God and humans.

Atonement is an aged, weathered and worn 3D building. This resting place features distressed and damp surfaces under a veil of decaying ivy. It comes complete with interior walls, articulating doors, gravestones (with adjustable headstones) and modular elements to load complete or in sections as required.

The visual styling means it can be used in many different settings: historical, fantasy or present-day, with high resolution texture maps ideal for close-up and high resolution renders.

The set comes with a full set of CR2s and Poser/DAZ Studio MAT files for ease of loading and customization. Also included are bonus presets for owners of The Guildhall to load and place wall lights from that product in this scene. A DAZ Studio light preset for these wall lights is also included to further enhance the scene.

  3. ahh thanks that is why its so nice.
there is a scene in daz of the souk. but i cant figure how you did the light. i tried with the dreamlight but no way the same. now i know your using lightwave. darn my loss, i should have learned lightwave.
keep up the fantastic work. i aspire to be like you.

  4. Actually the Souk render on DAZ was rendered in DS3.

The best approach I have found is to render one pass using UberEnvironment, to get an ambient render. Then render a pass with the LDP, and then composite the two passes.

    Hope that helps!

  5. wow fantastic idea. i had tried the uber and the sun warmth was nice. then tried ldp2 but the light was cold. lol never thought of mergeing them. darn your smart.

  6. composite do you mean merge as a layer in phoshop?. or using daz studio some how to merge them?

    November 4, 2009 @ 4:13 pm
  7. Yea merge the two layers in Photoshop.

You will find LDP produces nice lighting but really contrasting shadows. A plain UE render can then fill these in and you are left with the best of both worlds.

  8. I have checked my Runtime and my DAZ history, I don’t have this one! How could that happen?
Well, it will have to wait a bit, but hopefully not for too long.

Hmmm, maybe if I sell my wife’s car, there is Atonement (and some other Tomalin stuff), Stonemason’s Forrest and I always wanted to buy a copy of Cinema4D ….

        I’l have to think about that…. ^_^

[...] Atonement is a Gothic tomb with enclosed burial grounds.  Really useful for dark and moody halloween type scenes, some good examples can be found here. [...]
